200g Petit Brie
30g Brillat or Mascarpone (spreadable cheese)
25g Fresh black truffle shavings
Here is a delicious and very simple recipe to make your own black truffle Brie!
Cut your Petit Brie in half lengthwise
Mix your mascarpone or brillat cheese with the shavings of black truffles. Spread the mixture evenly into the middle of the cross section of the cheese. Place the top of the Petit Brie firmly and cling wrap to infuse.
Keep refrigerated for 48 hours so that the flavors of the truffles infuse throughout the cheese. Before eating, leave it at room temperature for about an hour to allow it to soften.
For more indulgence, you can also add truffle shavings on top of the cheese. This recipe is simple and can also be made with Brillat Savarin, Brie de Meaux, or any other soft cheeses.
